Meet Eric Buckland

Founder & CEO

I started my career as an auditor in public accounting, followed by two years in financial reporting. I offer a unique perspective because I held those roles. I worked with recruiters as a professional looking for a job, and I helped thousands of professionals find a role that is right for them.

I started the Buckland Group in 2008, then grew it from a team of one to a team of ten, producing better results than much larger firms. Our clients consistently rank us highly based on our results. That’s because there is an art to what we do.  We continuously grow our vast network of Big 4 professionals, matching intricate details of the client and candidate’s needs. Most importantly, we pair candidates’ personalities with the company culture. We strive for excellent service and to offer guidance so clients and candidates can make the best possible decision.

Company:  Verizon

Verizon had four different openings at four different locations. Verizon works with numerous agencies across the US. Buckland group was the smallest firm in that group of agencies. Within 3 to 4 weeks we had candidates submitted for each location and our agency filled 3 of the 4 roles.

Company: Honeywell

Fortune 100 company with two roles open that had been pending for over 2 years.  They use their own internal recruiters and a long list of over 60 outside recruiters and still couldn't find anyone that fit their criterion for the role.  The client was defeated and offered Buckland Group an opportunity to work on the placement.  We sent in 6 candidates over 2 months and they hired 2 of them.

We were given the job at Johnson & Johnson very late in the interview process. They were a new client and we hadn’t worked on their jobs before. We have a lot of relationships with candidates that are not looking but have made us aware of a criterion where they would consider making a move. We reached out to one candidate for the J&J role who was a perfect fit. The role matched his dream title, salary, promotion track, location, and job responsibilities. Two weeks later the candidate accepted the offer.

New Balance was searching for a Director level position with over 10 different agencies all competing for the same placement.  The client had over 100 resumes in hand and our agency was given an opportunity to participate very late to the search process.  Within weeks we had two candidates that were chosen as finalists and one of them was offered the position.
